Want to learn how to use food to maximize your health?

Welcome Comadre!

I'm Ellie, a fellow Latina PCOS comadre, and I couldn't be more excited to have you here.

So, why am I so passionate about what I do? Well, picture this: You being diagnosed with PCOS and having a journey filled with understanding, healing, and empowerment. A journey where you learn how to lose weight and manage your PCOS symptoms without giving up your cultural foods.

Beautiful right? And if you’re anything like me you probably didn’t have this either. It’s because I want you to feel empowered, strong, and confident and reverse your PCOS symptoms while celebrating your cultura too.

My story?

Let's rewind a bit. Picture a 20-year-old me in med school, eyebrows raised in surprise at the thought of becoming a dietitian. Back then, I was juggling medical school and dealing with my own PCOS diagnosis.

I was super tired and bloated all the time. I was struggling with symptoms like hair loss, weight gain, irregular periods, and mood swings. But, I was simply told to hop on birth control and come back when I wanted to get pregnant.

Fast forward to a pivotal moment when I crossed paths with a neurologist who practiced both allopathic and holistic medicine. Witnessing the transformative power of nutrition and lifestyle changes sparked something within me.

I got so used to feeling a certain way that I didn’t realize how bad I truly was feeling.

Focusing on a high fiber flexible plant based diet allowed me to see change in my PCOS symptoms and still enjoy going out to lunch with my parents on weekends without feeling stressed or guilty about what I’m going to eat. We love trying new restaurants almost every week!
